BuildHER Collaboration is a nonprofit dedicated to educating, supporting and advocating for survivors of domestic abuse and sexual trauma. Our founders have been where you are now. We understand abuse does not always stop after you leave the abuse. There’s a lot of rebuilding to be done and we are here to help.

There IS life after trauma!

Making the decision to leave can be one of the most difficult choices a victim of domestic abuse or sexual trauma will make.

Those that find the courage to leave often return out of fear, lack of support or limited resources. They begin to question their decision, dismiss the intensity of the abuse and often deny the abuse occurred. But the truth is they haven’t been able to believe there is life outside of the abuse.

BuildHER Collaborations is here to help survivors find support, create a new mindset and navigate through their recovery journey.

Beth P

I keep creating relationships with toxic people.  I often thought maybe ZI was the problem the whole time. I even contemplated returning to my abuser. But the program helped me focus on me, pursue my dreams and stop running to things that hurt me.

Jessica A.

I attended one of the simulation trainings. Tina brought things to my attention that I never considered. I recommend other law officials take the course.

Officer Rate

Bob and Weave or Get Left Behind!

Bob and Weave!! I can hear those words being yelled at me as my brother prepared me to stand up to the playground bully. He would throw punches and if they connected, he would yell, “Bob and Weave! Protect yourself at all costs. Never give anyone a clear jab at you….
