As we prepare to close out the first quarter of the year, let’s be honest…

So many of us started this year with intentions.

We said we would work out more.
We said we would spend more time with family and friends.
We said we would save money.
We would stick to our routines.

And then life showed up.

Unexpected expenses.
Work demands.
Exhaustion.
Real responsibilities that don’t care about our perfectly planned schedules.

Now those routines we were so excited about?

They feel like pressure.

Some days we’re productive, checking off every box.

And other days… if we take a shower, we’re winning.

I get it.

Not because I read it somewhere.
Because I live it too.

But here’s what I’ve been sitting with…

The issue isn’t that we lack discipline.
The issue isn’t that we created bad routines.

The real problem?

We’ve trained ourselves to punish ourselves when we don’t meet our own expectations.

Somewhere along the way, we learned that unfinished means failure.

Think about it…

“Eat everything on your plate.”
“You can do better than that.”
The pressure of a ticking clock while you’re still trying to figure it out.

We were taught that if it wasn’t done right… it wasn’t enough.

So now as grown women?

We don’t just fall short of a goal… we judge ourselves for it.

We don’t just miss a routine… we carry guilt.

We don’t just get tired… we push harder and call it discipline.

But let me ask you something…

What if doing better than yesterday is actually success?

What if rest is not something you earn, but something you require?

What if the life you’re trying to build can’t be created from a place of constant exhaustion?

Because here’s the truth:

It’s one thing to push yourself to grow.

It’s another to punish yourself for not being perfect.

And that’s where many of us are stuck.

Not because we’re incapable.

But because we’re operating from pressure instead of intention.

So, as we close this quarter, I want you to sit with this:

Are you building your future life…
or borrowing from it?

Because the answer to that question will determine how you walk into the next season.

And next quarter?

It’s not about doing more.

It’s about resetting.

Resetting your expectations.
Resetting your priorities.
Resetting how you speak to yourself.
Resetting what actually matters.

You don’t need another routine.

You need a reset.

And if you’re in a season where you’re tired of carrying everything alone…

This is exactly why spaces like Resetting. Rebuilding. Becoming. (RRB) exist.

A space for real women navigating real life, without pressure to perform.

And if you’re ready to step into rooms that support your growth, your healing, and your next level…

Stay close.

We’re building differently this next quarter.
